Infectious Disease Physician for World’s Top AI Labs

⏰$160–$200 Per Hour

Seeking Infectious Disease Physicians to support a healthcare AI partner developing clinical decision-support systems for diagnostics, antimicrobial stewardship, and population-level infectious disease insights. This San Francisco–based role involves reviewing, annotating, and validating infectious disease data to ensure safe, accurate, and guideline-aligned AI outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and label clinical notes, microbiology reports, and EHR data

• Validate pathogens, diagnostic workups, antimicrobial regimens, resistance patterns, and outcomes

• Audit datasets for accuracy and adherence to IDSA, CDC, and WHO guidelines

• Evaluate AI-generated treatment recommendations

• Define annotation standards for complex infections and edge cases (e.g., immunocompromised patients, emerging pathogens)

• Provide structured feedback to improve AI reasoning and safety

• Contribute to documentation and training materials

Requirements:

• MD or DO with Infectious Disease specialization

• Board-certified/eligible in Infectious Disease

• Active U.S. medical license

• 5+ years post-fellowship clinical experience

• Experience with inpatient consults and complex infections preferred

• Familiarity with EHRs, microbiology data, and clinical terminologies

• Interest in medical AI or informatics preferred

Details:

• Part-time, up to 10 hours/week, in-person (San Francisco)

• Flexible schedule for practicing clinicians
