Family Medicine / Primary Care Physician – In-Person, San Francisco

⏰ $170-$190 Per Hour

Location: San Francisco, USA (In-Person)

Role Overview:

Mercor is seeking Family Medicine / Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) to support a healthcare AI partner in building advanced clinical decision-support tools. In this role, you will apply your medical expertise to review, annotate, and validate clinical data, helping create accurate, safe, and explainable AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Data Annotation: Review and label clinical notes, EHRs, and case data, identifying diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes relevant to family medicine.

• Quality Assurance: Audit annotated datasets and AI-generated outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Expert Guidance: Advise on annotation guidelines, taxonomy, and edge cases; collaborate with data scientists and engineers.

• Model Evaluation: Assess AI recommendations, flag inaccuracies, and provide structured feedback to refine models.

• Documentation & Training: Assist in creating clinical documentation standards and onboarding materials for new annotators.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

• Active medical license in good standing

• Preferably 2+ years clinical experience in hospitalist or in-patient care

• Academic hospital experience is a plus

Contract Details:

• Independent contractor position, paid weekly via Stripe or Wise

• Flexible schedule; fully remote work (projects may vary in duration)
