Seeking life sciences experts to improve conversational AI systems by ensuring accurate, clear, and reliable explanations of biological concepts across molecular, organismal, and systems-level topics. This remote role lets you apply your expertise to guide AI reasoning and outputs in scientific contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and refine prompts to guide AI behavior in life sciences

  • Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, reasoning, and clarity

  • Fact-check using authoritative sources and domain knowledge

  • Annotate strengths, weaknesses, and conceptual errors in model outputs

  • Assess explanations for clarity and audience appropriateness

  • Apply consistent evaluation standards using taxonomies and benchmarks

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Biology or related life sciences field

  • Expertise in molecular/cellular biology, physiology, microbiology, immunology, or ecology/evolution

  • Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their usage

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail

  • Experience reviewing or editing technical or academic content

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with RLHF, model evaluation, or data annotation

  • Teaching or mentoring life sciences concepts to non-experts

  • Familiarity with evaluation rubrics or structured review frameworks

Success Looks Like:

  • Identifying inaccuracies and weak mechanistic explanations

  • Improving AI rigor, clarity, and correctness

  • Delivering reproducible evaluation artifacts that strengthen model performance
